CUI unequivocally and strongly condemns the cowardly attacks on a number of sites in Mumbai in India that left more than 100 people dead and many more injured. We offer sincere condolences to the loved ones of those killed or injured in these senseless and inexcusable acts of violence against innocent civilians. We call for the immediate and unconditional release of all hostages taken during the attacks regardless of their national origin.
As American Muslims, we stand with our fellow citizens of all faiths in repudiating all acts of terrorism, which are against the teachings of Islam and cannot be justified no matter what the grievances of the perpetrators might be.
